Packaging using Washi paper “Marine Products and Fisheries” Edition
Want to use Japanese paper for packaging, but don’t know how to use it.
Can you use Japanese paper for something that’s watery?” Here are some examples of packaging for companies handling marine products
Surrounded by the sea on all sides, many people in Japan would like to market the bounty of the sea throughout the country.
We asked the owner of a well-known store with fans throughout Japan, who selects crabs and fish from the Sea of Japan with the keen eye of a fishmonger, about “how to use washi for marine products gifts.
Kyoto Tango Seafood Master Uomasa
Uomasa, a fishmonger in Tango, Kyoto for 50 years, is a true “fish professional” who knows the season, waters, fishing methods, fish bodies, and handling methods, and who identifies marine products that meet your needs with an absolute confidence and love that is second to none.
We do not rely solely on the brand name or the name of the fishing port for Matsuba Crab, a specialty of the San’in region, but rather insist on delivering only the most delicious and well-filled crabs, based on our keen sense of taste.
Especially during the gift-giving season, there are many orders from Uomasa fans all over Japan who want to give delicious Matsuba Crab to their loved ones.
Beautifully boxed seafood is a popular choice for year-end gifts.
The white laid paper for this box is Morisa’s “H.S. Seigaiha Shogai”.
H.S. (Heat Seal) Seikaiha sukiawase
The wave pattern “Seikaiha” was selected from Morisa’s diverse patterns.
The image of the box as if it were lined with seafood in a spray of waves when opened fits perfectly with the gift of marine products. It is cut to size to fit gift boxes of various sizes.
*This paper was originally a special paper for forming into bags, so it was a paper with thermally bondable properties.
The paper mixed with synthetic fibers also had the advantage of being water-resistant and could not be torn by a little wetness.
This wrapping paper is suitable for food products such as marine products, “resistant to freezing and refrigeration” and “unbreakable against condensation.
